| GUATEMALA Asobagri $12.25 per lb |
ORG Coop |
Located in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala, 200 miles north of Guatemala City, the Asobagri Coop was founded in 1989 by 20 K’anjob’al Mayan coffee and cardamom farmers. A period of political violence and increasing poverty followed, during which many small farmers abandoned their land. Recently however, Asobagri has grown stronger year after year. The co-op grows high-quality, shade-grown coffee using organic compost. Increased revenues brought by FairTrade certification has provided the community with access to improved transportation, health and education services. The coffee crop is nurtured and processed with love and skill. The cup is remarkable. You will enjoy the mild acidity and silky smooth, buttery sensation in the mouth. Flavors intermingle chocolate, plums and honey-dappled herbs. |

| NICARAGUA Segovia $12.00 per lb |
ORG SG Coop |
In Northwestern Nicaragua, where the Coco river runs through the mountainous Segovia district, coffee trees are grown under partial shade to protect them from the equatorial sun, and the fully ripe cherries are picked by hand. This is a dense, high grown, flavorful Central American. A rich coffee similar to a good Colombian but fuller-bodied; spicy aroma, deep and complex flavor with a bold chocolaty finish, a superbly balanced coffee. |

| BRAZIL Poco Fundo $12.50 per lb |
ORG SG Coop |
We have discovered two small organic, Fair Trade cooperatives meticulously cultivating competition grade coffee on steep hillsides in the south of the state of Minas Gerais. This Poco Fundo is a lovely example of the subtle winey - fruity complexity to be found in specialty grade "dry processed" South American coffee. The cup is sweet, creamy, nutty, and thick... Dave's regional favorite. |

| BOLIVIA Cenaproc $12.00 per lb |
ORG |
Winner of many Bolivian cupping competitions and growing at over 6,000 feet, this is one of the highest grown coffees we’ve offered. This altitude produces a lower yield but a bean denser in flavor and heightened character. The aroma is spicy and floral, the body full and sweet , and in the finish a hint of fruitiness. |

| PAPUA NEW GUINEA Waka Jawaka $12.00 per lb |
ORG SG Coop |
Our Waka Jawaka PNG coffee is grown and processed by small farmers belonging to the Yha Hauka Kopi or YHK cooperative based in Morobe province, in eastern PNG. In more remote parts of the region, where no roads exist, coffee is carried for up to two days on foot to the nearest collection point. Using imroved cultivation practices and Organic - Fair Trade certification to gain fair market prices, the YHK coop now provides vital health and education services to the community. Our Waka Jawaka PNG coffee is a fully washed Arabica with a clean, well balanced acidity and abundant floral - citric flavors. It's so lively, the cup would vibrate but for the creamy smooth finish which renders a melodic hummm ;-) |

| SULAWESI (Celebes) Toraja $12.00 per lb |
ORG SG Coop |
This coffee is sometimes called Celebes, which was the Dutch colonial name for the island in Indonesia where it is grown. The bean is known for its full-bodied sweet flavor and sharp almost effervescent tang - rare, exotic, and luxurious. There is a balance of bitter and sweet tones with a smooth rewarding finish. It stands as one of the world’s most famous coffees among connoisseurs. |

| SUMATRA Mandheling $12.50 per lb |
ORG SG Coop |
Some of the most famous coffees of the world are grown on the islands of the Malay Archipelago. While Central American coffees are distinguished by their dry, winey aftertaste, the coffees of Indonesia are noted for their richness, full body, and an acidity which, though pronounced, is deep toned and gentle. They are perfect for those who want a coffee heavy enough to carry its flavor through milk. Many consider the Mandheling and Ankola coffees of Sumatra the world's finest. Of the two, Mandheling is the more admired. It is probably the most full-bodied coffee in the world; you can feel the richness settling in the corners behind your tongue. It has a relatively low acidity, but enough to keep the cup vibrant and interesting. The flavor, like the body, is rich, smooth, and full. |

ORG SG Coop |
Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee and home to some of the world's most flavorful coffee beans. Yirgacheffe coffee is grown in the Sidamo region and is claimed by many experts to be the most distinctive coffee in Africa. This crop is truely remarkable with an amazingly fragrant, floral aroma and a smooth soft body. If you are after an exceptional coffee with a "knock your socks off" character... try this one. The flavor is intense and delightfully complex. The acidity is crisp and bright followed by a long smooth finish. |

| ETHIOPIA Harrar $13.00 per lb |
ORG |
Harrar is the winiest coffee in the world . This quality, which some Colombians hint at, is totally victorious in Ethiopian Harrars . The fermented fruitiness is accentuated by the traditional dry processing. Pungent and spicy, this is the fullest bodied, most balanced Harrar we have ever tasted. One might imagine this luxurious coffee is laced with wine. If so, it is made from blueberries and it is intoxicating. |

| UGANDA Bugisu $12.00 per lb |

Grown on the high slopes of Mt. Elgon along the Kenya border, Bugisu is the finest coffee coming out of Uganda; thick bodied, chocolaty, deep and rich. Its character comes right though milk or cream and enhances interest when blended with milder coffees. |
|||
| KENYA Wango PB $12.50 per lb |
Kenyan, like the Arabian Mocha and the Ethiopian Harrar to the north, has a distinctive dry, winey aftertaste. However, it has a full bodied richness Ethiopian and even Mocha lack; a fine coffee for those looking for the striking and unusual. Not so winey as the Ethiopian, fuller bodied and more intense all around than a Mocha. We especially recommend it as an after dinner, “with dessert” coffee. |
