The coffee in your cup must be wonderful.  We started roasting coffee over 30 years ago so that our own cup would be consistently rewarding - provocative - sublime.  We are in business only to share this exceptional coffee experience with you.

Ground coffee is very volatile.  Accelerated flavor loss begins the moment the bean's protective shell is crushed and exposed to oxygen.  Storing ground coffee in an air tight container helps.  Even so, most people will notice a significant loss of flavor after just a few hours. We recommend you grind just before brewing.  It makes a big difference.

Grinders come in many shapes and sizes and range from under $20 to more than $200.  The small inexpensive blade type grinder at the low end of this spectrum is a fine starting point.  The more expensive steel - burr type grinder does a more uniform job and is generally less messy.  Grind the coffee as fine as practical based on the type of filter or screen being used.  Some moderately priced automatic drip coffee makers have built in grinders.

Truthfully, we make such an effort to ensure our coffee beans are the highest quality - most flavorful and freshest beans you can buy... we just can't bear to see any of this flavor lost on the way to our customers cup.  We hope you understand.
