About Our Roasts:When you order coffee from Scott Brothers, you are given complete control over the roast degree for each individual coffee. As a new customer requesting a free sample, we will try to match the sample you receive with your preferences, but as the coffee is not being roasted just for you, we may not always have exactly what you ask for. We do promise the coffee you are sent will be roasted the same day it is shipped and it will be as close as possible to what you request. Some of the Mega-Gourmet roasters have romanticized the "dark roasts", but too often the subtle fruity, nutty, spicy or chocolaty nuances are masked by the intrusion of carbon in the darker roasts. Our suggestion? Most people find the Full City and Vienna roasts offer the richest, most vibrant expression of the coffees inate character. You may use this chart to choose a roast you would like for the samples or you may leave the roast box empty and allow us to send our "best roast" for each sample. |

| I'd like to credit INeedCoffee.com for the photos of the roasted bean samples shown above. Keep in mind that every coffee roasts differently and develops its best qualities when roasted to an endpoint determined by the caramelization degree and NOT by color alone. Never-the-less these photos give you an idea of what each roast will look like. | ||
